Working with Belgomine AG Switserland, we have been able to set up a transhipment installation on our quay for mineral oil according to UN nr 90-3082 for train to ship/barge. You can request use of this installation via Belgomine AG.
AEO and AGP
OOC Terminals has a freeport (AGP – Goods Duty Location) permit for transhipment of mineral oil. As an Authorized Economic Operator (EAO) certificate holder this also means that duty goods can be transhipped without any deposits of note. OOC Terminals can take care of all the documentation regarding the train and duties.
Easy train handling
Because of its own shunting company ‘OOC Rail’ can offer an easy connection between shunting and transhipment. We have access to 2 tracks which makes it possible to deal with a train within 1 day.
Temperature and steam processing
In order to heat up any cooled oil back to the correct temperature the installation is also equipped with a heavy steam boiler and steam connections. In this way any unplanned stoppages for shipping and/or rail vehicles can be reduced to a minimum.
Safety & environment
Due to an optimal set up and strict procedures the environment and safety can also be optimally served. Barges moor on an even, easily accessible quay and are offered 2 escape routes. The connection between the installation and the barge takes place using a Marine Loading Arm with a vapour return connection which is controlled on the quay via an active carbon filter. Work on rail tank cars takes place from an elevated work platform with fall protection. All members of staff wear safety clothing and personal gas detection equipment.
