Bavaria strives for environmentally friendly transport but doesn’t wish to make any concessions in the field of delivery reliability or price. Among other things, the inland terminal performs stringent quality checks and makes sure the shipment process of our export products goes smoothly and according to plans. That way, we can serve all our customers in time and save the environment.
Fred Hooft - Transport Manager

Over the last 30 years, AkzoNobel has built up a close relationship with OOC for the storage and delivery of bulk salt. Recently, OOC decided to leave the old storage building and build a new storage where a long-term permanent space is contracted for AkzoNobel. The basis for this close cooperation is formed by the favourable location by the water and the practical hands-on approach of the Osse family business.
During last winter, a mutual alternative delivery of road salt has been organised in an extraordinary short period of time. The salt quality that was available before that turned out to be of an inferior quality and not suitable to be delivered under the name of AkzoNobel. Together with OOC, a finishing of the salt has been organized on a very short term, resulting into a reliable delivery of road salt to contract customers of AkzoNobel. A beautiful example of good cooperation whereby our customers were ensured of a reliable delivery of a qualitatively high-standard product despite extreme weather conditions.
Here, quality, supply security, reasonable costs and a customer-aimed attitude form a good mixture and the basis for a long-term cooperation.
